2016 Prairie District Neighborhood Alliance Holiday Coat Drive

December 17, 2016 at Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens Advisory Council in Chicago.



The 6th annual PDNA Sponsored Coat Drive will collect any used or new coats, gloves, scarves, hats, and boots of all sizes for kids and adults. Join the PDNA, Spoke & Bird, and The Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens Advisory Council in this helping event.

The donated clothing will then go straight to the needy through established outreach programs at both St. James Catholic Church (at 2907 Wabash) and 2nd Presbyterian Church (at 1936 S. Michigan Avenue.)

WHAT TO DONATE: The PDNA will be accepting coats, gloves, scarves, hats and boots of all sizes-adults, boys and girls.

Bottle Release of 2016 Bad Mama Jama & Barrel Aged Cinnamon Girl

After a long hiberation in Buffalo Trace Barrels, we will be releasing our 2016 Bad Mama Jama and a barrel aged version of Cinnamon Girl!

Both beers will be on tap along with 22oz Bombers to take home. Limit of 2 each per customer. These bombers make great stocking stuffers!


2016 Bad Mama Jama (light blue wax) – An Imperial Stout brewed with 6 pounds of local chocolate and aged in Buffalo Trace barrels.


2016 Barrel Aged Cinnamon Girl (red wax) – A version of our popular Imperial Milk Stout, Cinnamon Girl, aged in Buffalo Trace barrels with vanilla and cinnamon.

Mochi Tsuki – rice cake pounding

It’s time for the annual Japanese tradition of pounding sweet rice into mochi” – round dumplings for the new year. Come at the crack of dawn to help steam the rice. First pounding starts around 10:30am and after the 11am service, free samples of fresh mochi for everyone (limited amount for sale – we do not accept advance orders). Open to the public – especially those who want to participate in the pounding, turning and shaping.
