Sexy Black – a benefit to raise awareness for black cats and dogs

February 25, 2017 at Michelle’s Ballroom in Chicago.

tracking.php?code=TBybFN9p4hAVbOl73d6fB6

Join Chicago Cat Rescue as we paint the town BLACK on Saturday, February 25, 2017, for our 9th Annual Sexy Black – a benefit that raises awareness for black cats and dogs. Shelters and rescue groups across the country collectively experience “Black Cat/Dog Syndrome”, characterized by low adoption and high euthanasia rates of black pets. In fact, black cats are nearly two thirds less likely to be adopted than their more brightly colored compatriots. To boost awareness in the Chicagoland area, Chicago Cat Rescue pulls out all the stops for their annual signature event and hosts an unforgettable evening to celebrate our four-legged black friends in need.

Sexy Black 2017 will be held at Michelle’s Ballroom. Tickets information will soon be available. Don’t miss this one-of-a kind event on behalf of black cats and dogs! We look forward to seeing you at Sexy Black 2017!

Sponsorship and community support opportunites are available for Sexy Black 2017. Please contact cindy@chicagocatrescue.org for more information.

Accurate enough to satisfy an expert, yet simple enough for baby, Spiro’s board books explore the basics of aerospace engineering and quarks by tying the concepts to a baby’s world. Both books offer visually stimulating illustrations and use age-appropriate language to encourage baby’s sense of wonder. Parents and caregivers may learn a thing or two as well!

Ruth Spiro’s debut picture book, Lester Fizz, was a Bank Street College of Education Best Book of the Year. She lives in Chicago, Illinois.

This event will begin with an interactive story time followed by a Q&A for aspiring authors of kids’ books.
