Grand Ave, Chicago; 312-329-0400), has introduced a new happy hour menu featuring hand-crafted artisan pizzettas (appetizer-sized pizzas). This convivial, stylish and sophisticated gathering spot is the perfect way to unwind and socialize after work.
The happy hour 5 for $5 menu, offered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the bar/lounge area, features five of Chef Fox’s exclusive Neapolitan-style pizzetta creations and a delicious house selection of five wine and beer choices, each for $5. The new happy hour menu will launch Monday, March 21.
“Osteria La Madia is a more intimate and conversation-friendly place to relax after work than some of the huge watering holes in the area,” said Fox. “We offer something unique and special. We’ve designed our happy hour to showcase our acclaimed pizza in the traditional Italian appetizer size which is called a Pizzetta. Each week we will offer a happy hour selection of five wines by the glass and beer that everyone will enjoy. To be honest, who can pass up our hand-crafted wood-fired artisan pizza paired with a great glass of wine or craft beer?”
On March 21, this popular River North restaurant also will introduce Two for One Pizza Mondays. Every Monday, all day, guests can order any two pizzas on the menu and the lower priced pizza will be complimentary. “We’re really proud of our pizzas, which are considered among the best in Chicago,” said Fox. “Mondays will be a great opportunity for pizza aficionados to indulge in our delicious and unique creations.”
Among the delectable pizza choices are the Triple Pepperoni finished with White Truffle Oil ($17); the Housemade Fennel Sausage with sweet onions ($16); the Three Hour Roasted Grape & Taleggio ($13; with Prosciutto, $18), the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Sausage with mint pesto ($17), the Carbonara with Guanciale and cracked organic egg ($17).
