Crew people: Resume of previous entertainment work (if any) and places where we can find your previous works (if any). This is the equivalent of a job interview, but what we seek are those highly interested in seeing a project come together and have a passion for what they do.
Wrestlers / Sports Entertainers: We would love to obtain video and credits of any previous work you have done. We are curious about your previous gimmicks / characters, any training you have had and what you are hoping to achieve in the pro wrestling world. If new to sports entertainment and/or professional wrestling but feel you have something to offer, we would love to meet you as well. To all, we need photos of you, so please bring a headshot and at least 3/4 body shot to open auditions. Expect to be asked to give us your best promo during the audition.
Other entertainers: Bring your talent and smiling faces. A small example of what you can do (full dress / costuming is not at all required… We already know how to see an individual in a different character / look). Headshot if appropriate.
Q: I have a great interest in being in and/or working on movies, but I haven’t got any experience at all. Should I even bother?
A: YES! A great desire and passion with no experience is more valuable then someone with little desire or passion with a long resume. With every single project we do, we try to always include someone brand new on or off screen to keep our film/art community growing while at the same time seeing people’s desires come to life.
Q: I auditioned / interviewed with Breaking Fate Entertainment last year, does it make any sense to return again this year even after already meeting and giving information previously?
A: YES! We were very happy with our turnout last year and we took great interest in every single person who came to our open auditions. We only do so many projects in a years time and don’t get to work with everyone we would like, but we highly recommend coming in to give us an updated headshot / resume, giving us an update on what you have been up to since we last met and also give us the opportunity to give you feedback on what we have been working on since we last met with you. We LOVE repeat visitors, as it shows the greatest interest in getting involved.
Q: I’m a SAG (union) actor, do you work with SAG?
A: We have worked / produced SAG films, but not to the point that ever film has to be SAG (yet). Most of our films are non-union, however for the right screen talent, we have and will register with SAG.
Q: Do you have any parts for kids?
A: YES, we work with children of all ages all the time. We are in fact currently looking specifically for two 12 to 16 year old boys for our upcoming film “The Greenies”. More films with kids of all ages are in early development.
Q: Where can we see some of your films?
A: The largest collection of our films can be found on Breaking Fate TV: www.breakingfatetv.com
Q: What kind of experience does Willy Adkins have?
A: Willy has been involved in entertainment his entire life, beginning with music, eventually leading to photography, then to Horror Hosting, Acting, Directing, Filmmaking and he is the director of a dozen annual film festival events. You can check out his long list of IMDb credits at www.imdb.me/willyadkins and website at www.willyadkins.com
Q: Does it cost anything to interview / audition?
A: NO. We have heard of other production companies doing this and we do not believe in it. We are not trying to make money off your audition in any way, we are simply looking for local talent to get involved with what we do and to build a new film / media arts community here in the area.
Q: Do we have to make contact with you directly to reserve a time?
A: At the time of this original posting, no. We plan to work on a first come / first serve basis. We do recommend showing up early and if a line has developed, we will not add any new people to the line after 7:30pm. If the Facebook RSVP list grows to large numbers, we will then create a sign up list and ask that people sign up for a set time on the schedule. If it is more then we can accommodate in the time we have, we will schedule more dates.
Q: If I can not make the date of the open auditions, will you be doing more or is there a way I can send you my information?
A: Yes, we will be doing more open audition events. We usually try to do them once a year depending on our casting / crew needs. We much prefer meeting with people in person, but we do accept email / facebook communication in response to any casting calls we post in Northern Illinois Casting (Facebook groups for talent, if not in them, join them!)
NOTE: All of this information will be added to a website very soon for easier access along with current casting calls that we have open. Thanks!
