MAKE IT! Students will make a planter box from reclaimed wood, which can be set on the ground or mounted from a window sill/balcony. Elements of the planter box will be cut with the help of a chopsaw and assembled using wood glue and brad nailer.

TAKE IT! You will then take your planter box home and plant some beautiful plants in it!!!

MAKE IT! Students will hand craft a unique triangle,square, pentagon or hexagon Geometric shelf out of reclaimed wood– perfect for tchotchkies,trinkets, and tiny potted plants!

TAKE IT! You will then take your shelf home and display things on it! If you buy a Couples Ticket, then one shelf will be made by the couple.

Lore Study Group

This is the first Lore Study meeting. We will go over our framework for approaching the lore and how the rest of these classes will be structured. After this first one, Lore Study will repeat indefinitely on the fourth Tuesday of every month. We will spend about 6 months on each region. We’re starting with Northern European lore b/c Eric can teach that while half asleep. After the April, 2018 class, we will discuss how the Lore Study group will evolve from there. Here’s the current syllabus, which is always subject to change:

March and April: How we will approach the Lore.
May through October: Germanic and Norse Lore
November 2017 through April 2018: Anglo-Saxon and Celtic Lore

The cost for this class is $20 per person, whether you purchase in advance or at the door. If you want to buy the study packets that Eric will put together for these classes, they will be $20 each. There will be one initial packet containing excerpts from books and essays we will us to frame our understanding of the lore; after that, each new section will have a packet, a book list, or both.

Eight Pieces of Silk qigong harmonizes the qi of the mind, body and spirit. With 8 movements combined with meditation and breathing, we cultivate more clarity, relaxation and energy. Cultivating qi brings about many health benefits to the cardiovascular system, circulation, digestion, mental health, immune system, muscular-skeletal system and longevity. With practice and time it can change one’s health and life. In the practice of qigong we begin where we are compassionately and move gently into our own wisdom.

This is an interactive class is for 3 – 6 year olds who want to learn more about dogs. A 5 lb certified toy poodle named, Tina, will be present for demonstrations and hands on practice. Each child will receive a certificate and pet care coloring book.

The class is presented by Alicia Obando of Pitter Patter Parenting, which helps families and communities manage kids and pets together safely.
