Parents for Peace & Justice is an organization whose mission is to provide support for parents and families who have suffered the loss of a child due to violence. Our goal is to have a 24/7 hotline available for families who are grieving due to the sudden lost of a loved one from violence. Too many unsolved murders leave parents seeking answers and justice, hurting to figure out why this has happened to their loved one. Our work includes direct and indirect support through the provision of information, prayer, and referrals. Our new goal to have our 1-800 support line will provide support anytime of day and place for mothers and families hurting. They will have the opportunity to speak to a “live” parent that has also suffered the loss of a child from violence and understands their pain in a way most cannot. Guidance to resources through this healing and court process will also be offered. Mother’s Day weekend is an especially hard time for mothers who have lost a child, so this is why we have planned to hold our fundraiser for the support line during this weekend. Please join us in bringing hope and support to these families suffering loss. Violence can strike at any moment and any place. Help spread some love with us Friday, May 7th 2016 at the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center.
