2017 Chicago Horror Film Festival

Breaking Fate Entertainment presents the 2017 Chicago Horror Film Festival as it returns to the Patio Theater for it’s 18th season! The three day festival will feature more than 75 films from all over the world! This years event, hosted by Mike Flores of The Chicago Psychotronic Film Society, will also include Ron Fitzgerald’s Gothic Illusion Show, an Awards Ceremony, Vendors, the silent horror film classic Nosferatu with live original score accompaniment by Chicago’s foremost silent film organist Jay Warren!

Moms Demand Action will join the March for Science Chicago to promote the use of evidence and research in support of effective gun violence prevention!

We will meet next to The Art Institute of Chicago (the South Garden) at the corner of S. Michigan Ave and E. Jackson Dr. (see star on map)

9:30AM Meet up with Moms Demand Action to take group pictures. Then we will walk south on Michigan Ave to the rally entrance at E. Congress Pkwy.
10:00AM – 11:00AM Rally with speakers.
11:00AM – 12:00PM March from Rally point south on Columbus Dr to Museum Campus.

Make It Take It- Reclaimed Wood Wall Art

Get Creative! In this class, students will make a unique piece of wall art using reclaimed wood. This class offers the opportunity for a lot of creativity- you will be taught how to use the chop saw and other shop equipment to cut various pieces of scrap wood that you will use to create an original piece of art work for your space. In addition to reclaimed wood from Chicago area buildings– you will also have access to some funky trim, flooring, and antique hinges to give your art some unique features.
